lifting the blues

Well when I am feeling blue I get happy if I move furniture---I don't know why? Mondays sometimes are blue days, but moving things always thrills me ;-) . I decided to put a nice windowy area for my laptop and desk area. It made me very happy--plus with the corny old clock I got from my Daughter's ole house---it puts a smile on my face!
There is a picture here that didn't load--so ignore the x box if there is one--well after posting it posted the picture!! who knows if it will continue to show!! I think I have 2 of the same--ah well! Here is a close up of my little treat of an area--I can sit at my lap top and look out both of the windows!

I put my bird next and two of the bird houses together --and that brings a smile too!

Last of all my pansies enliven the dull winter browns. We have had some grey days---I definitely am affected by the weather!

I also found a little old book with short stories called, The Little Gold Ring. It was written in the 1920's and is really entertaining---sometimes I need a break from all the seriousness, and sadness , and suffering in life and in the lives around me----not sure if that is spiritually the correct thing, but the Bible does talk of laughter as a good medicine and studies have proven that to be true. Not that the Bible needs proving! So a little moving of furniture, and a few short stories and a more contented outlook. Why? Because , it gives refreshment Posted by Picasa

  3. Your corner looks very inviting! You're right about moving furniture.....it does give one a lift (if you can lift the furniture to move it!). I don't do it often enough.

Pansies are my favorite flower, though the blooms are so delicate, and don't hold up well in the wind here on our farm.

Thanks for the comment about my lamp. I bought this lamp at JoAnne's Fabrics and get more compliments on it.

  6. Everything looks lovely! I don't get into moving furniture! Too lazy.

Pansies last all winter around here, if they're up close to the house. Amazing.

Thanks for reading our stories. Makes it all worthwhile!

  10. Hi I've seen you at Mimi's and Sharon's and I thought I'd pop over and say 'hi'. You have a very pretty blog and I love how you arranged your Living Room. We recently moved our computer desk into our Living Room and it's much better.

    Blessings.
