It is fun monday and this is the topic: (there may be a gap here--I'm having problems--see down further)
Only Grandma's and Grandpa's will understand this driving need to see constant updates of their grandkids! Also that blog is what got me started on blogging and therefore that in turn has been a rich blessing of creative ideas, encouragement, fellowship and knowledge. Thanks ya'll.
"Now, the reason you're here: the topic for Fun Monday on 14 January. I want to hear about a web site and not just about any old web site. I want to hear about a web site that's changed your life. A web site that you can't live without. A web site whose inventor you'd like to see win a McArthur Genius Grant." it is hosted at http://forthelongrun.blogspot.com/ . you may have to go to her Jan 9 th post to see the other participants. There are over 50 I think!
The blog I can not live without is http://shiningmaiden.blogspot.com/ .Why?? It is of my first grandchild (and a second one is due to follow in July). Since they live a distance from me, this is the way I get updates and see movies and pictures of my little wooo .

I don't blame ya! Beautiful! Just Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous baby! I think that a whole lot of bloggers got started that way. Ree over at the pioneer woman started her blog so her mom could see pictures of her kids.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
I think that is a great reason to start a blog. I do feel so blessed that I live so close to my grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is SO darn cute!! And I certainly understand starting a blog for family reasons.
ReplyDeleteGreat answer!! I know when I had my first child (my mom's first grandchild) all Granny wanted to do was see him!! Thankfully we live in the same town and she had a job where she could come visit almost every day. It was the happiest time in her life. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG...that has to be the cutest baby EVER!! Just precious!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet post. I love it. And I have a sliver of an idea what it's like to want updates. The Internet makes it so much easier to live on the other side of the world.
ReplyDeletetotally sweet!

ReplyDeleteI also keep up with my grand babies (and older grand kids) thru my daughters blog.....

ReplyDeleteOh, I don't blame you one bit for not getting enough of that grandbaby! She really is SO adorable! :D
ReplyDeleteThat might be the cutest, prettiest baby in the world! How did you get her to look sideways like that in the first picture? That was adorable.
ReplyDeleteOMG, if I had a baby that cute related to me, I'd have to move next door to them. So very, very, very cute! Ack! Now I'm all broody.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness she's adorable! I'm glad you get to stay updated on her through blogging.
ReplyDeleteThat a girl pulling down all the books off the bookshelf! You are raising a reader!
ReplyDeleteVery precious photos! I especially like the one with the dolls. Clever.
ReplyDeleteI'm have no grandchildren yet, but they surely must be a special privilege and blessing! Enjoy!!
Wow! She is so adorable. I love the first picture.....it is so cute how they are both looking at each other by the corner of their eyes!
ReplyDeletePrecious!

Your pictures are so cute. And what a great website for you to keep up with your grandchildren. That was a cute picture of you with her.
ReplyDeleteThat is great! I keep a blog on my grandson but it's not only for him to read when he can read ;0), it's for his other grandparents in other states. Babies are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love family members with blogs I can appreciate even as just the auntie.
ReplyDeleteWhat ADORABLE photos!!!! The one with your granddaughter looking at the chicks is PRICELESS. She's absolutely beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteThat grandchild of yours is absolutely precious!! No wonder you're so in love with her.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's a blog type thingie I can't live without except maybe our private family forum that I share with my mother who lives in NY. But the one webpage site I can't live without would have to be Biblegateway.com which helps me research a full scripture I have in thought.
ahh! she is too precious for words - specially the one with the chickens.
