We spent part of Sunday at Brookgreen Gardens here in SC. Such a perfect day for it too!! My husband is suffering from allergies, but he decided he was not going to miss this time!

It was one of those glorious days--we walked first on the beach then crossed over to the gardens and then had a splendid time sitting and reading our kindles and picnicking. I love days like this!! too beautiful for words, really.

  1. Is that a memorial for the Great Dane? You were brave to go for a walk through there with the alligators there. Yikes.

    1. Ha--not a memorial for the Great Dane--but one of the many statues in the garden!

  2. What a beautful park to be able to walk and relax in, and what a lovely day it looks like as well. You will be pleased your husband was able to join you, I hope the allergies behaved while you were there :D) I'm not sure how I would have reacted to an alligator - we are practically predator free here in N.Z. In fact I can't think of anything dangerous in the animal line off hand.

  5. OMG! This is one of my most favorite places ever! I love everything about it. I love all the statues and the gardens but I absolutely love looking over the old rice fields the most! It is such a relaxing and amazing place. We are going to Litchfield this summer so I definitely have this on my to do list as well. Thanks so much for sharing your pics, I can't wait to see more!

    1. Oh, yes--we own a pass to the gardens--we love going there and it is always changing. Right now they are working on a poetry garden---well, a new area for it. I love the rice fields too. I also love the little zoo with the otters---my favorite part of the zoo along with the butterfly exhibit and the bird area! Litchfield is one of the nicer areas (away from the tackiness of Myrtle Beach!)
