30 days/ day 28 show and tell

It is show and tell at Kelli's http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ I thought I would show you that Spring has come!! The car below is supposed to be black--but it has pine pollen--very big yellow pollen gently covering it. (When it gets really bad, as it will, you get a very thick covering and have to wash the cars every day. This is why we can't hang clothes out for about a month (if we wanted to ;0)
Here are just a few more evidences of spring:

Blessings to you all ---have a wonderful Friday!

  2. Lovely spring photos. I remember that thick yellow pollen; it came and landed on my white windowsills. I lived in Houston for a year.

So sad to hear about Erin.

  6. The pollen is about the only thing I don't like about spring!! I haven't seen any yet -- haven't been outside yet today though -- but have seen some buds on plants.

  8. That would be hard to deal with. The Bradford Pear trees in our area are starting to bloom. Our first sign of spring. And yellow jonquils blooming in my side flower bed!!!

  9. The redbud tree looks just like our out in the yard, nearly busting forth in all of its purple glory! The pollen is just starting here too! The other thing is that you can't let those gorgeous Springtime breezes in until it's over with, otherwise you get green blinds and green dust all over the inside of your house. Not to mention what it does to you if you have allergies like me! I am working out in the yard tomorrow! Yippee!

  18. For the cup cakes. Mix your cake by box recipe. Line up cones in pan so they are close. Pour batter in cone and leave room to rise. Cool and frost.

Thanks for sharing Erin's dad's words below - what a blessing to read.

Re your comment - I do think it will give Kristen some sense of sanity to be back at work a few hours a day. I hope I can keep my enegy up!

  20. Hi Kim,

I hate all that pollen that gets all over our vehicles this time of year. Doesn't do one bit of good to wash your car.

    have a good weekend.

  21. No, Kim, I haven't seen the northern lights, but I would like to. I found this picture in one of my emails and thought it was pretty.

  22. My hat does live up to the promises the shop assistant gave about the hat being Scotland proof except when the gale force winds blow - but I love the hat so much that I am willing to wear something else on those days.
