Swimming with Gaters --Huntington Beach SC

Photobucket
We are in the midst of floor renovations, but this little get away on Sunday was so nice!

There is something wonderful about marsh lands--peaceful and energizing at the same time.

See how peaceful these little gaters look on their island?

The swan does not mind the gaters---there was a sign that said some birds like being near the gaters because they offer protection for them, REALLY???
Photobucket Huntington Beach State Park is about opposite Brookgreen Gardens so we did both places on Sunday.  Two posts down on this blog are a few pics from the Gardens. It was a wonderful day!

  1. Wow! Just look at all those gators! We camped here many, many years ago when the boys were young and I remember riding my bike on the trail that leads towards Brookgreen from the beach and an alligator ran out in front of me crossing the path. It was one of those heartbeating, breath holding, foot peddling, scary moments. LOL! Best wishes on your new flooring too, that's so exciting. It's looking good!
