This is a picture of the original monkey my brother and I had as a child--my brother just sent me the picture--he still has it!!!!
Here is the little girl monkey I just finished (using a wool boot sock (ladies) from
Walmart.)
Here is a picture of the guy and girl I made together. I am debating on
whether to stitch a mouth on the guy.
They are absolutely adorable :-)
ReplyDeleteMy brother had one of those monkeys, too. He called him Poosy-Woosy, if I recall correctly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by today - blog friend Barb left her set up all last year. I hope to get a stable, or fancy word creche, before next year. I love the set!
These are delightful. I am going to Wal*mart to see if they have any boot socks. They aren't hard to find. My great-nephew is young, so would have to stitch the eyes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration and for stopping by my blog. Yes, it would be marvelous to get to heaven and see how many people we helped with prayer, even if they were strangers. Thanks also for praying for the school children. Young people need prayer to get them through the peer pressure years.
Blessings,
Mary
Those are just adorable and really cool, Kim! Nope, the guy doesn't need a mouth. Do any of them, really? ;o) LOL! My husband would say the same about me. :D
ReplyDeleteHave a very blessed and wonderful wknd!
Those are darling! I love the soft colors in the "girl" moneky. :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable! Who doesn't love a sock monkey!

Oh, those are adorable. I love them. I say don't put a mouth on the boy. He won't get a word in edgewise anyway. Instead, you should glue a TV remote to his hand :)
ReplyDeleteWay tooo cute!! I love them. I have been thinking of making one for my little Zak -you have made me think that I should.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
