The ways of photos

I love this pic of my grandson visiting his other grandparents . He is checking out the chicken coup! It is cool how just a photo of a loved one can cheer one's heart. They found this to be true for people---something about photo's of loved ones triggers a happy response in our hearts.

I had to say GOODBYE TO BOOTS BELOW---he was 16, but his kidneys were giving out.

He was a real pal! God gives us little gifts like this for periods of time in our lives. I feel this pet really ministered to me in many ways. He came when we moved into our Spindle Cottage and now has left us after we have moved to a Condo. Blessings come in all kinds of packages!

  1. Hi Kim,
Yes, Pets are a wonderful blessing, when you can have them. The Lord really knows what you have need of and your kitty was what you needed, it sounds like.
Times and seasons, the Lord provides different things at different times, I have found.
    Hugs, Cindy

  3. What an adorable picture.

The cat pic looks just like ones we took of Judas the cat sitting on Dwight's shoulder - he was Kev's cat, but we ended up with him, of course. He was Dwight's best buddy, and had to be put down for kidney disease. Dwight was devastated, and sometimes misses him still, though it's been several years now.

  4. Oh Kim, that picture with your fuzz-butt's paw on your shoulder is precious!
    So sorry about your loss.
But know what a blessing you had, even if just for a season.
Thank you for praying for Susie's family.
    Hugs,
    Debbie

  5. Oh, sweetie... I'm so sorry about Boots. I'm sending you extra hugs today, Kim. He was a beautiful boy, and I'm so glad he was able to minister to you for sixteen years. That's how old my kitty boy was when we had to put him down. Same thing, kidneys. He was my best buddy, so I understand.
The older I get the more I am coninced that we will see the pets we loved when we get to Heaven. The Bible tells us that we can't comprehend what the Lord has in store for those who love Him, and even though I can compreshend seeing my pets again, I still think (hope) that might be part of the package. He is a BIG God and a most wonderful Father, so that thought follows to me.

That pic of your grandson is darling! You need to frame it.

Here's hoping you feel better each day, Kim, and that your healing both of heart and body will be complete and soon.

    XO,

    Sheila :-)
