Bootso

This is what Boots loves to do for a part of the day. But after my grandchild left he and the fake cats were exhausted ;-)
She kept them all very busy!! The dogwoods, wisteria, azaleas have all been blooming, but we have had a week of rain--so I haven't been able to get a picture. I hope the blooms will last past the time of rain!! But I am so enjoying the rain.
I have been trying to wear some brighter clothing--ie the shirt I have on has this bright green and pink! I find it very difficult to wear bright clothing. It is weird--I feel secure in blacks, browns, and dark blues and dark greens. I really have difficulty wearing things that are bright. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem!! I am trying very hard to force myself to wear some bright colors---I don't know if I will survive. My kids seem to hate bright colors---but well it is a bit fun but it is weird how I have such a hard time with it--I feel insecure, not me! But greatgram at the nursing home seems to enjoy it! If any of you read this let me know how you feel about wearing bright colors. I am wondering what it says about our personalities. It sure is a struggle--sometimes I change clothes!!

  1. I have a lot of black things too, but I do have a few bright colors. I think many people get hung up on the easy to wear dark colors. Love your kitty. Do you just have one?

  4. I see why you named the cat "Boots" with his white paws.

I like to wear bright colors, but I also like my blacks and navys. I am pale, so I need bright color around my face. Some people don't like to draw attention to themselves. If you are one of these people, then you may feel the bright colors draw attention to you. Just a thought.

  8. I'm not into bright colors either - pastels are for me plus black, white and browns. One color I can tolerate that's bright - that's bright pink. Any shade of pink is OK with me.

  9. My husband does not like me in black at all. You may have noticed in my show and tell story about the shoes that I bought a purple outfit to go with the shoes - love it! I have quite a few bright things for summer - they cheer me up!

Kristen does not get time to herself, but I try to help with a few breaks at least from some at a time - I take the twins to the grocery store, and take turns keeping one of them about 3 nights a week so she can get some sleep.

  10. Boots is so cute, cutes Boots :)

Bright colours, I love fushia and turquoise, I tend towards darker colours in winter and brighter colours in summer. It depends what the bright colours are, I love yellow but I'm not keen on wearing it.

  12. However you want to run your private space/blog is up to you. Any color and thought, I'll swing with it or side step stuff.

Love your humor on the cat and the fake cat.

  13. I don't have a problem with brights, but I do wear a lot of black. I just like it! I tend to wear the same colors a lot, soft pink, bright red, black, white, bright green and sometimes browns. I don't usually do blues, oranges, tans. I usually wear solids, not prints. I think it is a matter of style. I applaud you for stretching yourself though! I think that is great!
