
This little town of Southport is great for walking around--lots of nice homey type homes built in the 1800's and early 1900's

If you get a chance to visit do so!!

You can catch a 30 minute ferry ride to Fort Fisher too!

ReplyDeleteI love a verandah on a house, our first home had one but none since. The houses are lovely and the fort looks like an interesting place to visit as well. It reminds me a bit of the remains of the Maori pa we have in New Zealand. They were also defensive fortifications against other tribes, often built on hills.
