I like what Irenaeus says, "The glory of God is a person fully alive."
Yancey responds, "Christians are not perfect, by any means, but they can be people made fully alive."
I love those thoughts--and am thankful for prayer and the beauty of Christian fellowship--especially of Christians from all walks of life--the beauty in diversity yet unity because of the central core--Christ himself.
I love this prayer: "Turn every evil design of the devil into sanctifying schemes of love. Deliver us from his deceptions. Keep the beauty of Christ clear in the eyes of our heart."
Thanks so much for your prayers for me each time you don your apron. You'll never know how much I appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteAmen sister! I am so thankful for Christian fellowship too and especially all my new blogging friends I have met just since August! It is amazing how God is connecting all of us!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day! Sharon
I LOVE the avenue of Prayer it is truly the only thing that I feel I have. Without prayer we would be lost. And I feel the same way as Sharon God is connecting all of us and I thank him for that. I Love being able to go in pray and thank our Lord for his grace. I love thank-ful prayers. When someone gives me a gift I always thank them and God gives me a gift everyday so I try to thank him everyday as well.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard that prayer before, but I now love it too!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit here, but it certainly won't be the last:-)
